From Boone’s muscle pop to fiber rap: outgoing records

Summer is upon us, but the discography does not go (still) on vacation. There is still room for important record releases, both abroad and in Italy. This week, to say, four albums are all very awaited, for one reason or another: from “While Los Angeles Brucia” by Fabri Fibra, the undisputed icon of Italian rap, to “American Heart” by Benson Boone, who from “Next Big Thing” of the American pop-rock is a candidate to become a big name on the scene, passing through the return of the Haim and that of Yungb.

Fabri Fibra – “While Los Angeles burns”

A phrase thrown there in the Red Bull 64 Bars, “The heat is starting and I have the release disc, buy the ticket that I wait for you in the front row”, has started the most awaited countdown by the fans: the announcement of Fabri Fibra’s new album. The eleventh of his career will be released on June 20 and will be titled “While Los Angeles burns”. It is not known how many and what the songs contained on the disc will be and even what the featuring and all the producers who have worked with the rapper from the Marches will be. At the moment two songs were published: “Stupid” with a very black snake and Pope V, and “what a taste is there” with thirteen Pietro, both produced by Marz and Zef. Apart from some bars in the songs of other artists, it is since last year with the release of “In Italy 2025” that Fabri Fibra did not publish new music.

Yungblud – “Idols”

Yungblud has fired two important news for Italian fans, and not only: its fourth album released on June 20 is entitled “Idols” and the world tour in support of the new publication will also have a date in our country on October 31st at the Choruslife Arena in Bergamo, the show will open the show the Palaye Royale will be called. On the new album, whose exit was anticipated by the individual “Lovesick Lullaby” and “Hello Heaven, Hello”, the 27 -year -old British musician declares: “We turn to others to find an identity before turning to ourselves. We believe in ourselves, we rehabilitate, we evolve and change. Growing up, we lose trust in magic and in the mystery. Our cages.

BENSON BOONE – “American Heart”

In a handful of months, Benson Boone not only detached himself quickly the label of the “Next Big Thing” of the American pop-rock (as well as in the Anglo-American world are defined as the nascent stars of music) to appropriate that of Big to all effects, but gave his music a very specific stylistic figure: that of the 22-year-old US singer-songwriter is a muscle and testosteronic pop. Powerful, energetic. The cover of “American Heart”, his second album, in this represents a sort of manifesto. And so also the ten songs engraved after last year’s debut with “Fireworks & Rollerblades” and the hit “Beautiful Things”.

Haim – “I quit”

The little sisters who redefined the US rock return with a new album, interrupting a five -year long record silence: it was since 2020, in fact, that Este (bass and voice), Danielle (voice, guitar, percussion) and Alana Haim (key guitars and voice) did not publish a disc. With “Women in Music III” the three sisters consecrated themselves, agreeing public and critics: they also conquered – for the first time – a grammy nomination in the “Album of the Year” category. “I Quit”, between rock, indie, alternatives and a spray of pop, contains fifteen songs produced by Danielle Haim together with Rostam Batmonlij and Buddy Ross: among the authors also Justin Vernon (Bon Iver) and Tobias Jesso Jr. (known to most for having whitewashed that jewel that was “When We Were Young” by Adele).
