From Annalisa to Ele to: a Friday in the sign of Girl Power
A Friday in the sign of Girl Power. Several releases of records scheduled for October 10 with some of the protagonists of national and international music. On the one hand there is the return of Annalisa, Popstar now established in our country, on the other one of the most anticipated debut projects, that of Ele A, the new star of the Urban scene. Oltre border Princess Nokia is ready to still leave the mark. But it is not over: space also in Frah Quintale, to Richard Ashcroft, who is experiencing a second youth thanks to his opening lives on the Oasis Reunion tour, and the Brian Eno & Beatie Wolfe project. Here below some of Rockol’s advice in view of this new Friday of publication.
Richard Ashcroft – “Lovin ‘You”
For a long time, or if not really forgotten aside, the former Verve frontman took revenge this summer thanks to the “brothers” Oasis. Noel and Liam Gallagher chose him as the opening artist of their epochal reunion tour, entrusting them with the task of opening their concerts. Result: “Bitter Sweet Symphony” has become viral on social media, almost twenty years after its release, while Ashcroft, for years considered a sort of “minor hero” of the Britpop, has been recognized by the status of worship artist. Now to seal the rebirth of the singer -songwriter a new album, “Lovin ‘You”, thinks about it. The album explores the different facets of its style: from the classic acoustic ballads imbued with arches to the indie rock, passing through the hints of American, soul and electronic beat. The themes are intimate and personal, dominated by love, romance and important and supporting messages aimed at those who are facing the difficulties of life.
Annalisa – “But I am fire”
With “But I am Fire”, Annalisa gives shape to her new artistic chapter, to be released on October 10th. The title evokes a primordial and transformative element: fire as a symbol of energy, change and intensity. In the trail of the disc, contaminations between contemporary pop, 80s and international electronic sounds are perceived, balancing nostalgia and topicality. Among the songs already published is “Piazza San Marco” with Marco Mengoni, who seals the meeting of two of the most loved voices of the Italian pop scene. Annalisa will offer this new journey also live, with a tour in the Italian sports halls at the start from November.
Frah Quintale – “Love”
It is “an emotional journey that oscillates between vulnerability and lightness, between sleepless nights and bright days” the new album by Frah Quintale, real name Francesco Servidei, 35 -year -old Brescia rapper who the hits “8 billion people” and “in the trains at night” in 2017, in the middle wave of Pop Indies, have made known to the general public. The disc is the first by Frah Quintale soloist in four years, as many as they have gone from the “Banzai” diptych, followed in 2023 by the joint album with his friend and colleague Coez “Lovebars” (and from the relative tour). The guiding thread of the disc is personal growth, self -discovery, learning to be alone, listening to and getting rid of the expectations of others. The singles “Lampo” and “Blue Monday” anticipated him.
Brian Eno & Beatie Wolfe – “Liminal”
“Liminal” is the third chapter of the collaborative trilogy resulting from the meeting between Brian Eno and Beatie Wolfe, after “Lateral” and “Luminal”, both released in June. The musicians explain that Liminal is “at the convergence point between Lateral and Luminal”. If Lateral is a “sound landscape” (Landscape Painting, sound space) and Luminal a “dreamlike awakening” (Dream -Awakening, Feeling Space), Liminal is a “hybrid” of these elements: a mysterious sound land, inhabited by a “human being who lives and makes its way through mysterious spaces”. The album is described by the authors as music that inhabits the “Limit between song and non-corzone (or ‘nong’, as we call it)”, or an “Borderlands Beteween Song and Non-Song” area.
Ele A – “Pixel”
The debut album of Ele A, “Pixel”, arrives on October 10 with the promise of being a new voice and decided in the panorama of Italian rap. The rapper navigates between introspection and the story of the company, with featuring already confirmed with GuĂ©, Colapesce, Sayf, Promise and Gaia. The productions show a balance between beat classics and more airy openings, with guitars, piano and atmospheres that are more ethereal. Ele a does not simply want to tell where it comes from, but above all where it is now: fragility, strength and desires mix in a coherent style that already puts it among the most interesting presences to follow.
Princess Nokia – “Girls”
On 10 October Princess Nokia will release “Girls”, his new studio album. The project presents itself as a celebration of femininity and the “girl’s in its complexity: fun and lightness intertwine with deeper reflections on identity, self -determination and inner strength. Among the individuals already released, “Blue Velvet” emerges as a symbol trace: dark, evocative, which touches balances between vulnerability and resistance. “Girls” is a varied sound path, poised between hip-hop, pop and more experimental atmospheres.
