“Fresh meat”, a record outlet for Agnelli’s project

Fresh meat, the musical project dedicated to emerging music conceived by Manuel Agnelli, Giovanni Succi, Gianluca Segale and Risi, has become an “non -compilation”. “Fresh meat – sounds from the future” a collection published in Digit Ale that collects some of the bands that have performed on the stage of LDC germs in Milan and on tour with the Aftehours. The collection includes 18 songs and is the result of the collaboration between Agnelli, the place and the Woodworm label, presented last June in Germi, on the occasion of the press conference for the reprint of “ballads for small hyenas”.

The project was born last November 2024, “fresh meat” Portatmdo about 100 bands and artists between 15 and 29 years old on stage, with three evenings per month dedicated to emerging music. According to Agnelli, the initiative responds to the need to give space and visibility to a new generation of musicians, in a context in which – as declared to Rockol – considers the Italian scene “in a worrying state” and risk of approval. “I liked the name because the new generation objectivizes in an ironic way, but it also serves to exorcise the role that it has always been discarded lately, the new generations have in food for the market”, had told us, referring to the song of the Afterhours.

“Our independent label story is linked to producing, distributing and developing music in a free way, trying not to flatten us on dominant aesthetic and distribution dynamics on the market,” said Marco Gallorini, founder of Woodworm together with Andrea Marmorini: “We do not seek functional products, but artists with a vision, a long -term path, a large breath. Very standardized directions, to operate too quickly, often on the skin of the artists themselves.
