Francesco Sarcina, frontman of Le Vibrazioni, attacks Tony Effe

Francesco Sarcina, frontman of Le Vibrazioni, wanted to have his say on the “Tony Effe case”, first invited by the Municipality of Rome to participate in the New Year’s Eve concert, then blocked, with the rapper finally deciding to organize a live show all his on New Year’s Eve, effectively mocking the Capitoline administration which also saw Mahmood and Mara Sattei withdraw from the billboard in solidarity with their censored colleague. During his last concert, Sarcina launched a harsh, personal attack, the video of which immediately went viral on social media: “Tony Effe of Esselunga, musician? (laughter, ed.) But fuck him too. But can you…someone who insults women like that? But what the fuck does that mean? We are surrounded by idiots, we have to wake up.” The Roman rapper organised, after the stop by the Municipality, a concert on 31 December at the Palazzo dello Sport in Rome: Nicolò Rapisarda, this is his real name, appeared on stage with the mayor’s tricolor sash exclaiming, “Hands up Rome, the mayor has arrived”, making irony about everything that happened. Sarcina’s reference, specifically, is to Tony Effe’s lyrics, which came under fire because they were “misogynistic”, an accusation that the Roman voice, among the participants in the next Sanremo Festival, has always rejected.
