Josh Freese reveals how Dave Grohl recruited him for the Foo Fighters

Foo Fighters, storm in New York: the band interrupts the show

Bad luck for the Foo Fighters and their fans last night at Citi Field, the baseball stadium in the borough of Queens, New York. The band was performing live on the stage of the arena when at a certain point they were informed that they had to immediately interrupt the show, because a storm would soon hit the Big Apple. Due to the dangerous weather conditions, Dave Grohl and his companions had to put down their instruments, after having played only 13 of the 20 songs on the setlist, while thunder rumbled in the sky above the stadium.

The band expressed their regret on social media: “We are very disappointed that we were unable to play our full set for tonight’s fantastic audience at Citi Field. But the safety of our fans, crew and everyone who works in the stadium comes first, so when it was determined that it was not safe to continue the show in this dangerous weather, we had no choice but to call it a night.”

The concert will not be made up: “We are grateful for every second we were able to play for you and we can’t wait to see you again, hopefully as soon as Friday,” the band wrote, noting that they have another show scheduled at Citi Field tomorrow.
