Fontaines DC premiere the new “Marianne” and “Six Shot Morning” live

After spending several months without performing, Fontaines DC have performed on two consecutive nights in Baluarte de la Candelaria (Cádiz), the first contacts of a tour that will also pass through two other Spanish cities these days.

Well, those concerts – the first since the death of their manager Trevor Dietz recently – have added two new songs to their repertoire. These are “Marianne” and “Six Shot Morning”, pieces that will initially be part of an upcoming work by the group and that have been added to the Irish repertoire to appear in two different moments of their set. “Marianne” is performed in the first part of the show, while “Six Shot Morning” is part of the encores.

It should be noted that both songs point towards a quite dark sound for their new material. We’ll see when we can hear them in the studio.

After their two concerts in Cádiz, Fontaines DC will perform in Alicante (August 11, El Muelle Live, Port of Alicante) and Pamplona (August 13, Ciudadela)with the people of Madrid The Miraculous as guests on this Spanish summer tour. Tickets for these four concerts have been sold out for some time.
