Fontaines DC: new video and listening parties

Before the release of their fourth album, “Romance”Friday 23 August, the DC Fountains they publish “In The Modern World”the fourth song from the album. The singer Grian Chatten wrote the lyrics during an “inexplicable” 10-day stint alone in Los Angeles in early 2023 while recovering from touring. He says it’s probably his favorite song. The video sees the band team up with the filmmaker again Moon Carmoonwho also shot the video for “Here’s The Thing”.

The band is composed of Grian Chatten (voice), Carlos O’Connell (guitar), Conor Curley (guitar), Conor Deegan (low) and Tom Coll (drums). Chatten of the new album “Romance” he says: “On this record we say things we’ve wanted to say for a long time. I never feel like it’s over, but it’s nice to feel lighter.” The record will be presented on a tour that will stop in Italy for a single date, already sold out, on November 4 at the Alcatraz in Milan.

Thursday 22nd August starting at 19:00 it will be possible to listen in preview “Romance” in the following record stores: Serendeepity in Milan, Disco D’Oro in Bologna, Discoteca Laziale in Rome and Fonoteca in Naples. From 9:00 pm it will be on air on Virgin Radio. While on Saturday 24 August from 9:30 pm there will be a release party with prizes up for grabs at the Headbangers Pub in Milan.
