Fontaines DC announce what will be their fifth album, “Dopamine Chamber”which will be released on October 16. They do it with the single “Marianne” of which the official video will be released this afternoon.

In their recent Spanish concerts, “Marianne” was already played, a new song that we can now hear in its studio version as a preview of what will be the Irish’s fifth album.

“Dopamine Chamber” will be released on October 16 by XL Recordings (Popstock! in our country) and has been produced by James Ford (Simian Mobile Disco, Arctic Monkeys), who in turn has just released a new solo album as James Ellis Ford.

The album was presented with “Marianne”, a song that Grian Chatten, Carlos O’Connell, Conor Curley, Conor Deegan and Tom Coll already performed in their Spanish concerts a few days ago and for which today they will premiere the official video clip directed by David Meyers.

The song is inspired in part by the thriller series “Ripley” (24), is a song about “escapism and hedonism that functions as a siren song, offering the listener an escape from—or into—oblivion.”

“Dopamine Chamber” will be available on vinyl, Deluxe vinyl, CD, cassette and digital format.
