FKA twigs protagonist of the remake/reboot of the film “The Crow”
The modern remake of the film “The Crow” will be released in cinemas on 7 June 2024 by Lionsgate Films: the first trailer has been released and there has been no shortage of controversy. Many fans, in fact, consider the historic film “untouchable”. The 1994 film, on whose set the lead actor Brandon Lee lost his life, is a film that has become cult over the years with a strong rock, dark and metal musical component both in the soundtrack and in the setting and costumes, which according to many lovers of the old film would be betrayed by this new project. Several musical details revealed in the first trailer: in fact, it appears in the soundtrack Ozzy Osbourne as a guest on Post Malone's song “Take What You Want”.
The role of the legendary protagonist Eric Draven in the new film is played by the actor Bill Skarsgård, known for playing Pennywise in the films “It” in 2017 and “It – Chapter Two” in 2019. He also figures in “Le Strade Del Male” 2020, “John Wick 4” 2023 and many other feature films. The cast also includes singer-songwriter FKA Twigs as Shelly Webster (Eric Draven's girlfriend), Danny Huston, Laura Birn, Sami Bouajila, Jordan Bolger and Isabella Wei. The remake should be based on the comic of the same name by James O'Barr and is directed by director Rupert Sanders, who worked on films such as 2012's “Snow White and the Huntsman” and 2017's “Ghost In The Shell”.
