Fake news: summer concerts at the RCF Arena are not cancelled

This afternoon, Saturday 9 May, panic broke out among ticket holders for the concerts of Kanye West, Travis Scott, Swedish House Mafia and many others (scheduled for July at the RCF Arena in Reggio Emilia) due to some announcements and counter-announcements on social media.

The event, previously known as Hellwatt Festival, is being reorganized following the departure of former artistic director Victor Yari Milani, who is also the owner of the name and brand; we refer you to ours previous news for a more complete picture of the situation. One of the most problematic aspects to manage is that of social media, as most of the direct communication to users was carried out via the Hellwatt Festival Instagram profile, managed by Milani himself. On Friday evening, a mysterious story appeared (for the first time in days) announcing an important announcement and signed by Milani himself, but a few minutes later the entire profile disappeared from Instagram, as if it had been removed by the owners or third parties. Subsequently, on Saturday afternoon a new profile called Hellwattfestival.official appeared on social media, without posts, which so far has published a single laconic story: “The festival is temporarily cancelled, updates will follow”.

We contacted the press office of the summer concerts at the RCF Arena, who confirmed that this is fake news: not only are the concerts still scheduled with the same known line-up (under a different name, which will be announced shortly), but precisely during this weekend the meetings necessary to reorganize the operation of the event are underway. We therefore reassure those who have already purchased tickets, which remain valid for the same dates, as none of the events are currently cancelled. Official communications on the matter will arrive at the beginning of next week, in the meantime we recommend the public and professionals to only follow what has been communicated by RCF Arena for reliable information.
