Fabri Fibra and Neffa have announced a joint album
From the stage of Party Like a Deejay 2026 in Milan Neffa and Fabri Fibra surprised the public by announcing a joint album and immediately presenting the first single, “Jay-Z”. A totally unexpected announcement, which brings together two artists linked by a common history that spans over twenty years of Italian rap: “In this life we managed to make a record together”, said the two. The news arrives a few days after the announcement of the arrival of the deluxe edition of “While Los Angeles burns” by Fibra and comes at a particularly fertile moment for both. Neffa, in fact, is fresh from his recording and live comeback (here is the review of his first Forum in Milan) with “Canerandagio”, published in 2025 in two parts and welcomed as a significant work because in fact it represents a return to rap (here is our interview). The two artists had recently resumed their collaboration.
In fact, “Hype (Nuoveindagini)” appears in “Canerandagio”, created together with Myss Keta, while in 2024 it had arrived “Foglie morti”, a song that today appears almost like a natural prelude to this shared project. The relationship between Fibra and Neffa, however, has much deeper roots. It came out in 2002 “Youth crowds”a fundamental work in Fibra’s career and produced almost entirely by Neffa. Fabri Fibra himself has told on several occasions how Neffa, with Sangue Misto and his solo records, was a decisive figure in his artistic journeyone of the artists who most pushed him to believe in rap and develop his own musical identity. For this reason the joint album announced in Milan does not only represent a surprise, but also the meeting between two protagonists who contributed to writing, each in their own way, some of the most important pages in the history of Italian hip hop. Below is the video of the song presented together, “Jay-Z”:
