Eurovision 2024: Megara win for San Marino, Bertè defeat

The Spanish metal band Megara will represent the Republic of San Marino at the Eurovision Song Contest, with “11:11”. The group surprisingly won the third edition of “A voice for San Marino”, the competition with which the microstate chooses its representative for the event, beating the great favorite Loredana Bertè. The singer entered the competition with “Pazza” , after having already expressed in Sanremo the desire to fly “to Sweden and bother my ex-husband Björn Borg”.

Megara, led by singer Kenzy Loevett, was proclaimed the winners by the jury composed of Clarissa Martinelli, John Vignola, Steve Lyon, Anna Bischi Graziani and president Celso Valli. The Eurovision Song Contest 2024 will take place in Malmö from 7 to 11 May.
