Enrico Ruggeri releases his new album in January

It will be released on January 17, 2025 “Plato’s Cave” (Sony Music) the new album of unreleased songs by Enrico Ruggeri.

“Plato’s Cave”, whose title is inspired by the famous philosophical myth, is a work full of cultural and social reflections, which addresses current issues seen with the poetic gaze that distinguishes the Milanese singer-songwriter.

The particular cover of the new album, which arrives three years after the previous one The revolution (Read the review here), it is the artist’s Mauro Balletti with Giuseppe Spada and it is also linked to the philosophical myth referred to in the album title.

The disc will be available in digital, CD and double vinyl 180 gr. the signed version of which will be available exclusively on the Sony Music Store.

Furthermore 50 years of career Enrico Ruggeri wrote for himself, for Decibel and for other great artists, writing songs that have become classics of Italian popular music.

Alongside his songwriting he works as a writer (his latest book is the autobiography “40 lives (never stopping)” for The Ship of Theseus) (Read the review here) and as a television and radio host.

After the first edition, from 17 December, “Gli Occhi del Musicista” returns to Rai 2, in the late evening, the program written and presented by Enrico Ruggeri with a real studio band composed of Francesco Luppi (keyboards and piano), Davide Brambilla (trumpet, flugelhorn, accordion, keyboards), Sergio Aschieris (guitars), Johnny Gimpel (guitars), Phil Mer (battery) e Lorenzo Poli (Bass).

The first episode will be dedicated to Christmas with guests Red Canzian And Davide Van De Sfroos.
