Enrico Ruggeri and the new album: “The sound today is terrible”
“Today’s sound is terrible”: words from Enrico Ruggeri The singer-songwriter of “Mistero” announced on social media that he is close to completing the work on his new album of unreleased songs, two years after “The revolution” in 2022.
“We started recording in September 2022. In total we worked on 36 songs, then eliminated many along the way. Eleven musicians have participated so far. The first 20 months we were in my Anyway studios, then we moved at Mauro Tondini’s Boombox studio (here in the photo with Sergio Bianchi who was adding some bass notes I can’t quantify the hours spent in the studio, whole weeks alternated with periods of reflection and listening during the tours…”, writes the voice). of “Contessa” to the always very active fans of her official Facebook page.
There isn’t a release date yet, but the album is on the home stretch: “We took and remade already mixed pieces, for months we added and removed musical and vocal parts: not having a deadline there was always the moment in which we said ‘we can do it better’. It had never happened to me in the 39 previous albums to dedicate so much care, so much dedication, so much suffering to a project air of ‘definitive album'”. And to those who ask him if by any chance he will return to the Sanremo Festival, Ruggeri replies: “I don’t think the album is suitable”.
