Enrico Nigiotti, the new album is “Maledetti Innamorati”
Enrico Nigiotti will be competing at the Sanremo Festival with “Every time I don’t know how to fly”, a song written with Fabiano Pagnozzi, Pacifico. Two weeks after the festival, the song will be included in his sixth studio album, “Maledetti Innamorati”, out March 13.
The album will contain 11 songs including a duet with Olly in “L’amore è / L’amore va”. The song, the notes explain, was born from the union of an already published song by Olly and one by Nigiotti thanks to which the two met and then found each other again.
On the cover evening, Enrico Nigiotti will duet with Alfa in “En e Xanax” by Samuele Bersani. The singer-songwriter is currently on tour in Italian theaters with a tour of concerts that will end on February 5th.
We wrote about “Every time I don’t know how to fly” after the first listen:
A nostalgic and reflective ballad about time, between the past (“The first time I made love I was 15/On an old mattress we kept our eyes closed”) and the present (“And while another hell breaks out outside/Somewhere now it’s already tomorrow/Someone is ready and someone else is lost”). It contains a few “ooohs” and the inevitable emphatic crescendo that the orchestra will exploit on stage, but it has a non-trivial arrangement.
