Eminem with Jack White for the Thanksgiving halftime show
For Americans, Thanksgiving is as important as Christmas for us, and on high holidays it is tradition for the major sports to organize some of the most important games during the holiday. So the NFL, the professional football league, has planned 3 games and as many halftime musical shows, on the model of the Super Bowl (which next year will see Bad Bunny), or the Christmas games (the Beyoncé Bowl). This year the honors fell to Jack White, Post Malone and Lil Jon.
Jack White especially attracted attention as he performed in his Detroit during halftime of the match between the Detroit Lions and the Green Bay Packers at Ford Field. The show was produced by Eminem who took to the stage as a guest. In all, a shorter duration than the classic halftime show – just over 7 minutes – but which then ended with “Seven nation army”. Jack White will be in Italy in June for the first time, at La Prima Estate. Meanwhile, here is the video of the performance
In Texas, during the game between the Dallas Cowboys and Kansas City Chiefs, Post Malone, a Texan and great Cowboys fan, performed.
Last year, the NFL debuted on Netflix on Christmas Day and during the Baltimore Ravens’ game against the Houston Texans there was another halftime show that rivaled that of the Superbowl. Beyoncé had presented Cowboy Carter and the event had been dubbed the “Beyoncé Bowl.” As it stands we know that Netflix will re-broadcast two NFL games (Dallas Cowboys vs. Washington Commanders and Detroit Lions vs. Minnesota Vikings), but no musical performances have yet been announced.
