Elton John: “I can’t see, I don’t know if I can go to the studio”
As we announced last September, in July Elton John developed an eye infection that caused damage to his vision.
Recently a guest on the US talk show “Good Morning America”, the musician from Pinner offered updates on his health and made it known that the situation is not the best. “Unfortunately I lost the sight in my right eye in July because I contracted an infection in the south of France, and it’s been four months since I can’t see anymore. Plus, my left eye isn’t the best either.” , the voice of “Tiny dancer” stated. In addition to clarifying that he is taking “initiatives” to cure the problem, the artist said that at the moment his lack of sight is limiting what he can and cannot do.
“I’m a little stuck right now, I can do activities like that,” said Elton John referring to the interview for “Good Morning America”: “But to go into the studio and record, I don’t know. Because I can’t read not even a text at the momentI can’t see anything.”
During the chat, the musician also had the opportunity to talk about the docu-film “Elton John: never too late”, from which the song of the same name was taken, which he published last November 15th together with Brandi Carlile. The documentary, on the life and early years of the artist’s fifty-year career, will arrive on Disney+ on December 13th. “I’m proud of the documentary,” John told “Good Morning America”: “I’m proud of my kids. I’m proud of my attitude towards myself and what’s going on. I’m just very lucky and very grateful.”
