Ed Sheeran, the new album “Play” has a release date

Ed Sheeran has finally communicated the release date of his new studio album “Play”. The day chosen for publication is September 12th. The announcement came together with the new single “Old Phone”, produced by Blake Slatkin and Ilya Salminanzadeh.

After the conclusion of the “Mathematics” series, the singer -songwriter inaugurates a new musical era in 2025. As reported in a press release, Sheeran described “Play” as an album born in response to a difficult period of his life, with the intention of instilling joy and color, exploring the cultures encountered during his tours. After working in different parts of the world and having aimed at the disc in Goa, India, the musician spoke of the realization as a funny creative experience full of discoveries.
