Eagles release deluxe edition of “One of These Nights”
The Eagles have announced the release of an expanded edition of their fourth album on May 1st “One of These Nights” published in 1975. “One of These Nights (Deluxe Edition)” contains a 2025 mix of the record, along with a complete, previously unreleased live concert recorded at Anaheim Stadium, California on September 28, 1975. The collection will come in two editions: 4 discs with 3 CDs and a Blu-ray, and a separate 3 LP box set. The Blu-ray contains Dolby Atmos and high-resolution stereo mixes of both the original album and the live performance.
The album, released on June 10, 1975, was originally produced by
Bill Szymczyk
and recorded at Criteria Studios in Miami and at the Record Plant in Los Angeles,
“One of These Nights”
it was quadruple platinum and the single
“Lyin’ Eyes”
won the Grammy Award for Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal.
The unreleased live recording immortalizes the performance of the
Eagles
at the Sunshine Festival in Anaheim. The concert sees the participation of
Don Henley, Glenn Frey, Randy Meisner, Bernie Leadon
And
Don Felder
. The band was going through a significant transition period, as that marked Leadon’s last performance with them, while
Joe Walsh
who would become an official member months later, joined the group for an encore, performing his own song
“Rocky Mountain Way”
.
