News coming soon and juicy ones from the planet Guns N’ Roses. After the guitarist Slashsome time ago, declared that they are “trying to make” their first album since “Chinese Democracy” (read the review here), released way back in 2008, and that negotiations are underway for a small tour, now also the bassist Duff McKagan it adds, confirming that the Californian band plans to record new music.

McKagan was a guest on SiriusXM’s “Trunk Nation With Eddie Trunk” and said of the band: “There’s definitely a desire and a plan for new music.

Yes, certainly.”.

The 60-year-old Duff also talked about concerts. THE Guns N’ Roses they haven’t performed for about a year – since November 5, 2023 in Mexico – and the bassist candidly admitted that he needs time to recover and rest after a tour. “You can go on tour and have ups and downs. It’s always, like, every show is super special. Even when we expand our tour, after being on the road for a long time, extending it for another four weeks can destroy a band. I’ve seen it happen. It’s too long. You’ve gone too long. Everybody starts picking on each other, the crew and all that stuff. But that doesn’t happen with our band or our crew a real highlight, which was Mexico City, where we did a huge concert.”

He then continued talking about tours and concerts, adding: “Just before that we had played two nights at the Hollywood Bowl. It was really special. The Black Keys opened for us at the Hollywood Bowl, a really fantastic, different kind of show. So I think we finished and we were like, ‘Let’s not end this here. Let’s get back to it soon.’ But I knew I had to rest, I had to rest my body after the many hours on stage, after the long journeys. I have to listen to my body, I have to listen to it. I think we all needed to rest tour, like, four weeks later and he’s going to do it all over again. I said, ‘Okay, man, better for you. I’m going to Hawaii.’
