New accusations of sexual abuse for P.Diddy

'Diddy' Combs caught on video beating up his ex Cassie

More trouble ahead for Sean “Diddy” Combs who was filmed by a surveillance camera in the corridors of a hotel in 2016, hitting, dragging and throwing an object at his then girlfriend Cassie Ventura who reported the rapper for violence in November 2023. The footage was obtained from CNN, which said the altercation occurred at the now-closed InterContinental Hotel in Century City, California, on March 5, 2016.

As reported: “CNN verified the location based on publicly available photos of the former hotel's interior.

In the video, Ventura exits a hotel room and heads towards a set of elevators. Combs, holding a towel around his waist, runs down a hallway after Ventura. He grabs her by the back of the neck and throws her to the ground. Still holding the towel closed with one hand, he then turns to kick her. While Ventura is on the ground, Combs retrieves a purse and suitcase from the floor near the elevators. He turns and kicks Ventura again while he lies motionless on the floor. About four seconds pass between the two kicks. He then briefly drags Ventura by his sweatshirt towards a room before leaving. Ventura is then seen slowly getting up. She picks up the items from the floor and goes to a telephone on the corridor wall near the elevators. Combs, still in towel and socks, returns. A mirror directly in front of the security camera shows Combs appearing to push Ventura. Seconds later, he sits down in a chair, grabs an object from a table and forcefully throws it toward Ventura. Combs is seen walking away, then turning back to Ventura when an elevator door opens and someone appears to exit.”

Cassie, who reached a private settlement with Combs after making abuse allegations against him in 2023, declined to comment on the CNN video. Her lawyer, Douglas H Wigdor, said: “The harrowing video has only further confirmed Mr Combs' disturbing and predatory behaviour. Words cannot express the courage and fortitude that Ms. Ventura has shown in coming forward to bring this to light.”

Cassie reached a private settlement with Combs shortly after suing him last year and describing the hotel altercation in the complaint. According to the complaint, while the two were inside the hotel room, Combs was “extremely intoxicated and punched Ms. Ventura in the face, giving her a black eye.” After falling asleep, she attempted to leave the room, but he woke up and “followed her down the hotel corridor yelling at her. He grabbed her, then picked up some glass vases in the corridor and threw them at her, causing glass to crash around her as she ran towards the elevator to escape.”

According to the complaint, Cassie eventually managed to get on the elevator, leave the hotel and call a taxi that took her to her apartment. Cassie's complaint alleged that Combs paid InterContinental $50,000 for footage of the incident. Two days later, the couple — who dated on and off from 2007 to 2018 — were photographed together at the Los Angeles premiere of “A Perfect Match.”

Ben Brafman, an attorney for Combs, said on the day Cassie's 2023 lawsuit was filed: “Mr. Combs vehemently denies these offensive and outrageous allegations.” Since last November, Combs has faced five other civil lawsuits accusing him of a variety of sexual misconduct and other illegal activities. He has denied all charges and the cases are still open.
