Dickinson sings “Flash of the Blade” for the first time live
“Nobody has ever played this song, obviously on a record,” he said Bruce Dickinson aimed at Anaheim’s audience, California. “It’s a song that I wrote, so I don’t know if any of you have an idea of what song it can be. But, as usual, it’s an enigma. I won’t tell you. You will just have to understand it. Probably it won’t take long.”
Then the English singer performed “Flash of the Blade”song included in the 1984 album of Iron Maiden, “Powerslave”. That was the only song of the Iron Maiden that Dickinson played during the concert. The rest of his set included the cover of “Frankesin” ofEdgar Winter Group and songs taken from his seven solo albums.

to support his latest solo album (

Last March, when he announced the Dickinson tour he declared: “We are thrilled to be able to bring the Mandrake Project to a real tour in North America. Last year we did a couple of sold-out dates on the west coast of the United States before heading in South America and the answer was simply incredible. This time we will add ‘Shadow of the Gods’ to the Scaletta for this incredible band. The time to review our fans throughout the country and to perform in a couple of concerts in Canada “.
