Deep Purple, first single with new guitarist Simon McBride
As promised, i Deep Purple they published today – April 30th – the first single from their new album “=1“, coming soon July 19th via earMUSIC, almost three years after “Turning to crime” (here our interview and here our review). The song is titled “Portable door” and is the first new material from the historic group since the new guitarist Simon McBride he joined the band to replace Steve Morse, who left for personal reasons.
The next album from the lineup of Ian Gillan, Roger Glover, Ian Paice and Don Airey, now together with McBride, was made with Bob Ezrin once again producingand will include 13 tracks.
The release of the new album (here tracklist, cover and details) will be anticipated by two concerts that Deep Purple will hold in Italy on July 10th at the Cavea Auditorium Parco della Musica for Rock In Roma and theJuly 11th at the Marostica Summer Festival.
The new single “Portable door” will be accompanied by a video that will be available on the band's official YouTube profile (at this link) starting from 5pm today (Italian time).
