Dave Navarro Hints Jane’s Addiction Are Done
Dave Navarro he hinted that the Jane’s Addiction after what happened last week it is very unlikely that they will get back together. His recovery from a long illness had paved the way for the first tour of the original lineup of the American group in decades, with new music – the single “True love” – and also the possibility of making a new album.
When everything seemed to be going well, the singer of Jane’s Addiction Perry Farrell loses his mind and last September 13th attacks Navarro on stage closing the Boston show early and leading the group to decide in the following hours to
cancel the entire tour.
In a new message posted on his Instagram channel, Navarro talked about the single “True Love” and of the Jane’sAddiction. “I’m proud of the work we did on this song, but I’m equally saddened that you’ll probably never hear it live. I’d also like to publicly apologize to our crew, to the Crawlers and their crew, and to Love and Rockets and their crew. Thank you for being our traveling companions all this time. I’m sorry that things ended this way and that so many jobs were lost as a result. May all our hearts mend back together.”
This is the second time that
Dave Navarro
suggests that there is no future for the band. He previously wrote on social media: “Maybe it’s easier to recognize when something is over and learn from the magical lesson of pain rather than avoid it and remain in a constant state of dissatisfaction.”
After the official announcement of the cancellation of the tour,
Dave Navarro
the bassist
Eric Avery
and the drummer
Stephen Perkins
expressed their regret, stating, “We are deeply sorry that we are unable to accommodate all of our fans who have already purchased tickets. We see no solution that will ensure a safe stage environment or reliably allow us to deliver a great performance every night. We are heartbroken.” They confirmed that the decision was necessary due to “an ongoing pattern of behavior and mental health struggles by our lead singer Perry Farrell. We hope he finds the help he needs.”
