Dardust celebrates 10 years of solo career with a new EP

It was 2014 when Dario Faini chose to present himself to the public as Dardust. And it was 2015 when the first solo album, “7”, was released. One of the singles released to promote it was “Sunset on M.” 10 years later, Dardust celebrates this milestone with the release of SUNSET ON M. 2025 for INRI/Universal Music, Celebratory EP composed of four tracks that offer new instrumental versions of the piece.

Exactly ten years ago, my name Dario and Stardust (David Bowie’s alter ego) came together to create Dardust: an alter ego imagined as an explorer who, aboard his spaceship-piano, launches beyond space and time to seek new sonic trajectories.

The artist from the Marche proposes the original version resounded entirely, but also explores new sounds: “Sunset on M. (felt piano version)”, an interpretation for felt piano, together with Stefano Colangelo and Gianluca Mancini; “Sunset on M. (strings version)”, an arrangement by the Trio Cavalazzi for strings only, Dardust’s traveling companions on stage during the numerous live shows and “Sunset on M. (orchestral version)”, a special memory of the concert at the Teatro Dal Verme, recorded together with the I Pomeriggi Musicali orchestra.
