Cure, “The show of a lost world” becomes a film
The film based on the concert held by the Cure on November 1, 2024 at the Troxy in London, in front of three thousand people, which was seen in streaming on YouTube by more than a million people (here is Rockol’s review) will be released in cinemas in mid-December.
The concert allowed the band to fully present what was then their new album, “Songs of a lost world” (Rockol’s review here)
Followed by a selection of old songs partly taken from “Seventeen seconds”. The concert had already been released as a live album (“Songs of a live world Troxy London MMXXIV”) and also in an instrumental version.
Today the announcement that the concert in its entirety will not only be released on DVD and Bluray, but will also be brought to cinemas from December 11th.
For “The Cure: The Show Of A Lost World” the entire 31-song performance has been remixed and remastered, with a new Dolby Atmos mix handled by Robert Smith.
Last month Smith announced that he had recorded 13 songs for a new album and had another almost ready.
