Creedens are like the (and better of the) Beatles, for John Fogerty

The Creedence Clearwater Revival, one of the greatest bands of Rock, compared to another band that made the story, the Beatles: Arduo, impossible. But if John Fogerty is doing it? The author and Frontman claims that the Creedence have done something even more difficult than English colleagues: in an interview with Rolling Stone to present the new project “Legacy: The Creedence Clearwater Revival Years”, Fogerty explained that “in a certain sense, I did what the Beatles did, but I did everything alone. I had no other colleagues with whom to write the songs”.

At the same time, however, the musician, however, wanted to underline the uniqueness of the original formation, which melted between 1970 – the year of the release of his brother Tom – after 1972, after writing and engraving of the Classic: “Those four human beings are unique human beings. I still give much thanks to the way songs such as ‘Proud Mary’ O ‘Born on the Bayou’ play. And there is a mystery in this – that I will certainly not say I have in his pocket ”.

“Legacy”, out on August 22, collects new versions of the Creedence Classics Reincided by Fogerty with children Shane and Tyler instead of the historical band. An operation that recalls, in some ways, the Taylor Swift strategy, which has re -engraved and published the “Taylor’s Version” of four because it did not have the rights of the original recordings. Fogerty defined his remakes “John’s Versions”, although, unlike the Swift, the Masters are now owned by him, Commentamdo: “For most of my life I have not owned the songs I had written. Rise them changes everything. This is my way of celebrating this moment, to play these songs at my condition, with the people I love.”

During the interview, Fogerto also expressed a clear rejection towards music generated by artificial intelligence: “All this is a lift music. All. That elevator can climb many more plans than the Empire State Building, and it would still be a lift music. It is a car. It is artificially created, in a fake way and for all the wrong reasons. There is no real anguish. Obviously, I don’t like it. “
