Concerts, Almamegretta go on tour to celebrate “Sanacore”
The Almamegretta announce for 2025 the tour celebrating 30 years since the publication of “Sanacore”the second album from the Campania group. Released in 1995, “Sanacore” that year it won the Targa Tenco as best album in dialect, one of the four won in the Neapolitan band’s career (1994 – “Migrant Soul”; 1995 – “Sanacore”; 2001 – “Imaginary” (read the review here); 2023 – “Senghe” (read the review here).

Raizthe voice of the Almamegrettaabout “Sanacore” he recalls: “When we created “Sanacore”, in a villa rented for the occasion on the island of Procida, we didn’t imagine that it would have such a long life.
It already felt like a lot to release a music album that we believed in a lot. For us, having recreated our “personal Jamaica” a few nautical miles from the metropolis, living between study, sea and nature for three months and seeing everything mixed by Adrian Sherwood, the “Quincy Jones” of the London dub scene, was already winning to the lottery. The rest was all something more: and it still is. I’m sure I speak on behalf of all the members of the band and even our latest addition, Paolo Baldini, who at the time was not the bassist-dub wizard he became, but a teenager from Pordenone.”
