Club Tenco: the Cantautorando festival returns from September 5th
From Paola Turci to Luca Barbarossa, passing through Mauro Paoluzzi. Thursday 5Friday 6th September and Saturday 7th September in Lerici (La Spezia) at the Arena della Rotonda Vassallo (Via Roma, 51) “Cantautorando – The singer-songwriter’s lounge” returns, the long-awaited appointment dedicated to singer-songwriter music created by the Municipality of Lerici in collaboration with Club Tenco, which created the format in 2019. Francesco Paracchini will host the three evenings. The events, which are free to enter, begin at 9:00 p.m. and are also an opportunity this year to see great artists of the music scene perform and tell their stories live, as if in a living room where art, music and words merge.
Thursday 5th September the showcase of the Genoese singer-songwriter kicks off the event Edward Churchwhich is followed by the presentation of the book by Stephen Senardi “Music is a flash” (Fandango). The evening closes Paola Turci who will show us and tell us about himself.
Friday 6th September opens with the presentation of the book by Paul Talanca “Music and words – a brief history of singer-songwriter songs in Italy” (Carocci) The appointment continues with a dialogue on the 50 years of the Tenco Prize review with Antonio Silva and culminates with the delivery of the “Tenco Award Best Arranger-Producer” to Mauro Paoluzzi. The producer, arranger and musician, who has worked and produced hits by great artists, including Gianna Nannini, Roberto Vecchioni, Mango, Mina, Patty Pravo, Loredana Bertè, Bluvertigo and many others, electric guitar in hand, performs some timeless hits of Italian music with a band composed of Walter Calloni (drums), Max Spinosa (Bass), Max Germini (acoustic guitar), Michele Fazio (piano), Edward De Angelis (violin) and Phil Palmer (guitar). The songs are performed by Andy, Arianna Antinori, Patricia Cirulli, No And Dagmar.
The final evening of Saturday 7th September begins with the presentation of the book and the album, by the artistic director of the Club Tenco Sergio Secondiano Sacchi“The Cantastaino – Friend, the meeting is the life of art” dedicated to Sergio Staino, the cartoonist creator of Bobo who passed away last year. The presentation is accompanied by the double bass player and bassist, Sergio’s son, Michael Staino with Fabrizio Mocata, Natalia Bolani And Martin Alvarado. The finale features the protagonist Luke Barbarossa with a moment dedicated to his stories and his music.
The Tenco Award 2024 will be held on 17,18 And October 19th 2024 as usual at the Ariston Theatre Of Sanremo (Imperia).
