Cat Stevens he met fame in the sixties, with successful hits like “Matthew and Son” And “The First Cut is the Deepest “. However, his career was interrupted by an almost fatal battle against tuberculosis, a turning point that lit his search for peace and serenity. Thanks to this experience, it quickly became one of the most prolific songwriters of the seventies with songs such as “Wild World”, “Father and son”, “Peace Train” And “Morning Has Broken”. His albums “Mona Bone Jakon”, “Tea for the Tillerman” And “Teaser and the Firecat” They earned him a place both in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and in the Songwriters Hall of Fame. After another dangerous encounter with fate and an almost drowning experience in 1975, Cat’s life took a spiritual turning point, converted to Islam and changed its name to Yusuf Islam. Abandoned the music industry, Yusuf dedicated his life to God, to the family and to the humanitarian commitment, which earned him numerous international awards, including the World Award for “humanitarian commitment in favor of children and war victims” and the Man of Peace Award, assigned by the Nobel Peace Prizes.
