Carmen Consoli surprise announces the release of three new albums

Carmen Consoli surprised the release of three new albums of unpublished, one in Sicilian dialect, a rock and a more songwriting one. The first of the three will arrive next autumn, four years after the previous “I wanted to be a rock star”: it will be dedicated to Sicilian musical culture, with texts that draw on tradition, the ancient roots of the island and its literary production. A job in which authors such as Nina da Messina and Ibn Hamdis also find space, female from Carmen Consoli for the first time. A disc in dialect, but also in ancient Greek, Arabic and Latin, designed to welcome “special guests”.

The second album, which will arrive further, “will have a more rock, visceral, experimental nature”. A rediscovery of its most rough and free sound origins, shared with musicians such as Raffaele and Davide degli Uzeda, companions of path and scene since the early years.

The third album will be in Italian, “My gala language”, and “will represent the most narrative, more songwriting dimension” of the Sicilian singer.

“Against the common feeling, I continue to believe and practice slowness,” wrote Consoli on his official social channels, announcing the trilogy.
