Cantagiro, the songs of 1963
The Cantagiro, a singing event conceived by Ezio Radaelli, and still in place although in ways different from the initial ones (the first edition took place in 1962), is an itinerant song of songs on the model of the Giro d’Italia: a caravan made up of several singers who move between the cities of Italy, with evening performances and voting of the public at each stage, up to the final stage in which the absolute winner is proclaimed.
