Candlelight Concerts, rock by candlelight
What do Vivaldi and Coldplay have in common? Well, from a strictly musical point of view, little or nothing, other than the fact that he left an indelible mark in the music of yesterday (let’s also do the day before yesterday) and today.
In reality there is a new artistic dimension that tries to make them coexist.
Fever Originals with its Candlelight Concerts is an entertainment platform that after Amsterdam and The Hague has expanded to illuminate stages, courtyards, theatres, arenas and churches in over 90 cities around the world (20 in Italy alone) with the warm light of thousands of candles.
It is a start-up that started in 2019, with the biggest names in classical music: Vivaldi, Beethoven, Mozart, Strauss, Tchaikovsky, Chopin and Schubert. Now the programs have evolved, finding space for modern artists such as Taylor Swift, Queen, ABBA, Coldplay, Ludovico Einaudi, Aretha Franklin, Adele, The Beatles and Ed Sheeran. And then there are also events dedicated to K-Pop, film soundtracks and much more.
The suggestion of listening to songs like “Clocks”, “The Scientist” or “Fix You” by Coldplay, or “Radio Gaga” and “The Show Must Go On” by Queen, immersed in a sea of candlelight that illuminates the room, the stage, the musicians’ music stands, is a special experience.
The next Italian dates and stages of Candlelight:
On July 3rd, in the historic Collegno Castle in Turin, the Elixir Ensemble presents an all-rock program in the spirit of Nirvana (“Come as you are”), Led Zeppelin (“Kashmir”), the Rolling Stones (“Paint it black”), AC/DC (“Back in black”), Deep Purple (“Smoke on the water”).
July 21st In the splendid Palazzo de Gregorio in Palermo, the candlelit battle will take place with songs by Coldplay and Imagine Dragons performed by the Montalbano Quartet.
23 July In the Vittoria Park on the Appia Antica in Rome Open air pop candlelight with music by ABBA, Michael Jackson, Madonna Prince, Beyoncè and others. Sharareh String Quartet.
