Pearl Jam go back to their roots: what “Dark matter” sounds like

California, Bradley Cooper on stage with Pearl Jam

During their performance scheduled for yesterday evening at the Bottlerock Festival, a musical event hosted by Napa Valley, a renowned Californian wine area, Pearl Jam hosted Hollywood star Bradley Cooper on stage for a duet with Eddie Vedder on the notes of ” Maybe It's Time”, a song written by Jason Isbell and performed by the actor for the soundtrack of the 2017 film with Lady Gaga “A Star Is Born”.

“A few years ago there was an absolutely beautiful film about a singer-songwriter called Jackson Maine,” Vedder explained as he introduced Cooper: “At the end of the film he dies, and it's brutal and very powerful and very moving. Him tonight, however, is a very special occasion, because he will come back to life. Please join me in welcoming my great, great friend Bradley Cooper to the stage.”

Also during the evening, the actor returned to the stage to perform “Rockin' in the Free World” with the band, a Neil Young classic that has long been in the Seattle band's repertoire.

Pearl Jam will conclude their American tour on May 28th and 30th with two dates in their hometown, before moving to Europe: the Old Continent branch of Vedder and co.'s tour – which will start on June 22nd from Dublin, in Ireland – will stop in Manchester, London, Berlin, Barcelona, Madrid and Lisbon, without touching Italy.
