BTS, 2026 tour announced: Italy is not there (for now)
BTS is back. After months of indiscretions, rumors, previews and leaks, today the record-breaking South Korean boyband announced the tour that will mark its return to the scene this year. The tour, which will be linked to a new album, the first in six years, to be released on March 20 (but still without a title), “will be – says the press note – BTS’s biggest ever”: it will touch 34 countries for a total of 79 shows across Asia, North America, Europe, South America and Australia. Italy is not there for now. For now, yes, because in announcing these first 79 concerts, Bts made it known that other dates scheduled for 2027 will be announced soon and among these there could also be one (or more) dates in Italy, a country that hosts one of the most active fanbases of the K-pop heroes.
The tour will be BTS’s world first in about four years, since the conclusion of “BTS permission to dance on stage” in 2022. The tour will begin with three nights at Goyang Stadium in South Korea on April 9 and extend through 2027, with dates in Asia, America and Europe.
Five, for now, concerts in Europe: on June 26th they will perform in Madrid, July 1st in Brussels, July 6th in London, July 11th in Munich, July 17th in Paris.
Pre-sales for Army Memberships, i.e. members of the official BTS fanclub, will open on January 22nd. But to access the presale you need to register: you have until midnight on Monday 19 January (Italian time). General sales will open on Saturday 24 January. All the information on the official BTS website.
According to Billboard, the group will earn more than $1 billion (£740 million, €860 million) from their reunion, from concerts, merchandising, licensing, album sales and streaming.
In these four years of suspension of live activities RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V and Jung Kook took turns completing their military service, which is mandatory in South Korea. BTS entered the recording studio last July to work on their new LP. “We are approaching the album with the same mentality we had when we started,” the group said in a statement last year. «We are also planning a world tour together with the new album. We’ll be meeting fans all over the world, so we hope you’re as excited as we are.”
