Bruce Springsteen has published “Adelita”another unpublished song that will appear in “Tracks II: The Lost Albums”whose release is expected for June 27. The song, inspired by the Mexican mariachi, is part of “Inyo”a lost album from the 90s.
According to what is reported in a press release,
“Inyo”
It was written in California of the 90s, when Springsteen began to take an interest in runos and Mexican history due to the continuous border checks. “It was an important part of your life.” Inyo “is a disc that I wrote in California during long journeys along the California aqueduct, through the county of Inyo, heading to Yosemite or Death Valley. I really liked that type of writing. I went home to the hotel in the evening and I kept writing in that style because I thought I was following the ‘The Ghost of Tom Joad’ with a similar record, but I did not do it. It is from there that “Inyo” is born.
