Bruce Springsteen confirms the existence of the ‘electrical Nebraska’

Intense period for Bruce Springsteen And for his fans. The box will be published on June 27th “Tracks II” And, the word of Bruce, it would be ready “Tracks III”. It is not over here, next October in cinemas will arrive ‘Deliver me From Nowhere ‘the biographical film that focuses on the period in which the boss, in the early eighties, was engaged in the realization of the album “Nebraska” (Read the review here). The feature film re -proposed the interest in that disc, released acoustic in 1982, and for the electric version, with the band, of the album itself, affectionately renamed by the fans “Electric Nebraska”. Some had even hoped that Springsteen could publish the disc in conjunction with the release of the film.

In an interview granted to the US magazine Rolling Stone, Springsteen confirmed the existence of the album, saying that it is not yet completed. At first it seemed that New Jersey’s rocker had forgotten his existence: “We tried to make some songs with the band for some minor electrical versions of ‘Nebraska’, perhaps something else, I’m not sure. But that disc simply does not exist. There is no electric nebraska outside what you feel wearing on stage”.

The Rolling Stone journalist, however, reminded him that Max Weinberg And Roy Bittanfrom the And street bandhad talked about their interpretation of the songs, to which Bruce Springsteenwithout moving from his position, he replied: “I have no memory of it, but I can tell you that there is nothing in our archive that can be considered an electric Nebraska”.

But after the interview, Springsteen evidently recharged his archive, then contacted Rolling Stone to confirm that “there is an electrical record of ‘Nebraska’, even if it does not contain the complete album”. However, it was not pushed to provide further details, much less on the intention of a next publication. That is included in ‘Tracks III’? We will see.

In the meantime, Italian fans are counting the days that are missing from his two Milanese concerts at the Meazza stadium, June 30 and July 3.
