Bruce Dickinson, the next album will be incredibly heavy
Engaged until the beginning of August in the “Run for Your Lives World Tour” with the Iron Maiden and close to embarking on his tour “The Mandrake Project Live 2025”, Bruce Dickinson however has time to think about the plans for new solo music. Recently interviewed by “Metal Hammer”, the singer discussed his next projects, which would follow his album on his own 2024 “The Mandrake Project”. In the chat, Dickinson said:
“I have about 18 songs in a demo version, which I recorded in April. We will make a new album – not for next year, of course. Next year we will be busy with other things, obviously with activities related to the Maiden and it is fantastic. 2027 is the year in which something new will come out”.
Bruce Dickinson then added that the new solo material will include “heavy songs, to crush the bones” as well as moments that “take you straight to the heart”. “If it is Heavy, it’s Heavy,” the artist underlined: “But if it happens it is acoustic, then it will be acoustic. This is how it works. It is what the song dictates, whatever the story you are trying to tell, and it is really exciting. I am highly gased for these pieces. I made the demo feel a little people from the record label and everyone said: ‘Wow!'”.
Previously Dickinson had told Charlie Kendall, of the radio program “Charlie Kendall’s Metalshop”, who planned to enter the studio with his solo band in January 2026 to “release the album in 2027”. He added: “The extraordinary band that will record the new album with me will be the same that has made the European tour with me, and it will be the same that will be on tour with me in 2027, when we publish the new album. Or at least this is the idea”.
