According to what TMZ reports, citing law enforcement sources, Britney Spears was arrested on Wednesday evening in California on charges of “DUI”, or “Driving under the influence” – driving while intoxicated.
The news for now has no further confirmation, but the site is usually well informed and reliable on these events related to celebrities: TMZ writes that the pop star was stopped (and handcuffed) by the California Highway Patrol, and then subsequently released, according to the records of the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office.

This is a new episode in a very complex personal story: the singer had recently obtained a permanent restraining order against a man from Louisiana who had been harassing her online since 2013 and had shown up outside her home in Los Angeles and was arrested for trespassing at her residence in 2025.
