Brian May suffers stroke: ‘I lost control of my arm’
Brian May has had a stroke. The 77-year-old Queen guitarist revealed it to fans in a video posted on his official social media channels, immediately reassuring them that he is already recovering and can already play his guitar again. “All of a sudden, out of the blue, I lost control of this arm,” the musician said, pointing to his left upper limb. “I have to admit, I was a little scared,” he added. Brian May suffered from ischemia a week ago.
He didn’t say anything because – he explains in the video – “I wanted to avoid people feeling sorry for me. Please don’t do that, it would clog up my inbox, which is something I hate. The good news is that I’m fine. I can only do what they tell me to do, which is basically nothing. I’m stuck at home, I can’t go out, drive, go on a plane, nor can I raise my heart rate too much. But I’m fine”.
