Often that silence was born from fear – real fear – that speaking openly could cause a negative reaction, close doors or end a career. But now things are changing, in part because some artists and activists have illuminated the way, Truth about what is happening has become impossible to ignore. What we are witnessing Gaza is not a mystery, nor is it a confusion of contrasting narratives that make it “difficult to understand”.
