Bresh’s tour of the arenas travels at full speed
After the initial dates of his first tour in the sports halls, Bresh is about to land, literally, in Milan with two dates at the Assago Forum, Thursday 6 and Friday 7 November, and then in Bologna, Sunday 9 November. In this tour Bresh boards a ship that does not sail the sea, but the imagination. A wreck, which acts as a backdrop, suspended between dream and memory, resting on the stage as a fragment of a time that no longer exists. It is a deconstructed, living ship that breathes and bends under the weight of memories. Everything you see is deliberately imperfect, deformed, as if seen through the eyes of someone who dreams and no longer distinguishes the proportions of reality. Inside it, on different levels, musicians live: figures that seem to emerge from the wood, like souls trapped in its carcass.
And that’s how it is Andrea Polidori (drums), Michele Bargigia (keyboard/piano), Luca Ghiazzi (Bass), Luca Di Blasi (guitar), David Pecchioli (percussion), Roberto Tiranti (chorister), Jennifer Vargas (chorister), Claudia Ginga (chorister), Chicco Montisano (winds), Giulio Tullio (winds), Matteo Pontegavelli (winds) accompany Bresh in his journey of about 30 songs long. The artistic direction of the show is by Shune and Dibla, together with the Genoese singer-songwriter himself. The whole show is a journey that starts from Genoa, the city of Bresh, but not the real one: a dreamlike Genoa, reinvented, seen through the gaze of a child who is still amazed by everything. It is the city of the sea, but also of dreams, memories and departures told in his latest album “Mediterraneo”. In this vision, the stage is transformed into a mental port, a place of landing and departure. The audience is transported in the flow of the wind, among lights, sounds and images that merge with memory. With this project, Blearred, head of the show on the stage and scenic design front, has built “a world that doesn’t exist, but that everyone can recognise”: the one in which reality stops being solid and leaves room for imagination, a world where the sea is within us.
