Bon Jovi at the wheel, Bruce Springsteen heading towards the tour
The journey to Minnesota starts from an almost cinematic scene: Jon Bon Jovi at the wheel, Bruce Springsteen sitting next. Destination? A discreet rehearsal space in Ocean Grove, where the E Street Band is finalizing the final details before the tour starts. On Saturday March 21st, the two symbols of New Jersey rock arrived together at the Ocean Grove Youth Temple, a few steps from the Great Auditorium. A presence that did not go unnoticed, but which maintained a deliberately “low key” tone, as told by the writer Stan Goldstein.
For three consecutive days, from March 19 to 21, Springsteen personally led the band’s rehearsals, preparing the ground for the “Land of Hope and Dreams Tour”which debuts March 31 at the Target Center in Minneapolis. But on the last day, the detail that made those present smile: that “elegant blue car” with an exceptional driver. Not’s the first time Springsteen and Bon Jovi share the road, literally. The two often crossed paths and became friends along the Jersey Shore, transforming even simple trips into small moments of rock mythology. To make this cross between legends even more significant, there is also the recent chapter of their collaboration in the studio: in 2025, Jon Bon Jovi and Bruce Springsteen recorded a new version of “Hollow Man”included in “Forever (Legendary Edition)”, released on October 24, 2025. The duet, built on an emotional and dry dialogue, reflects on the theme of resilience and strengthens an artistic bond that has crossed stage and life for years.
Inside the room, however, the atmosphere was anything but light. The complete band, including wind instruments and choir, as reported by some informed magazines, worked on a thematic setlist, marked by the narrative urgency of “Streets of Minneapolis”, the song released in January and immediately jumped to the top of the digital charts. A piece born as a reaction to news events, and which seems destined to become one of the emotional pillars of the tour. Springsteen’s message is clear: this won’t just be a tour, but a statement. A musical journey through a restless America, between political tensions and the need for redemptionwith the promise of “rock and rebellion” as a form of cultural resistance. After the tests, the equipment was loaded and the organizational machine started up again. Next stop: the Prudential Center in Newark on April 20. The engine is running.
