Bon Iver: two other advances from the new album
Waiting to listen to the new study work signed by Bon Iver, two new advances from the album have been published. The singles available since yesterday, March 14, are “If Only I Could Wait” with Danielle Haim and “Walk Home”.
The release of the two new songs was anticipated by a preview streaming via “In Such a small time frame”, the 24/7 video feed and artistic installation that Justin Vernon has set up among the trees of Wisconsin last October. Since then, Vernon has used this platform to send messages to a group of loyal spectators.
As explained in a press release, “Walk Home” continues the story told in the single previous “Everything Is Peaceful Love”, focusing on “Indicable sex and desire”. “If Only I Could Wait” with Danielle Haim, on the other hand, is a piece in which “two voices intertwine to illustrate the tiredness that can follow the overwhelming enthusiasm of a new love, when one could no longer have the strength to be the best version of themselves”
Both songs will therefore make part of the fifth studio album signed Bon Iver, “Sable, Fable”, coming out on 11 April. The disc will be the first album of Justin Vernon’s project from 2019, the year of “I, I”, and follows the “Sable” EP published last year.
