Bob Dylan’s reaction to his biopic

Bob Dylan expressed an opinion on” A Complete Unknown”, the biopic about him, which will be in theaters from January 23 and appreciated the story and the “himself” played by the actor Timothee Chalamet.

This is his opinion shared by the American singer-songwriter through his profile on X

A film about me will be released soon, called “A Complete Unknown” (what a title!). Timothee Chalamet is the protagonist. Timmy is a brilliant actor, so I’m sure he will be completely believable as me. Or a younger me. Or another me. The film is based on “Dylan Goes Electric” by Elijah Wald, a book that came out in 2015. It is a fantastic retelling of the events of the early 1960s that led to the Newport fiasco. After seeing the movie, read the book.

In the film the actors perform their musical parts live and in particular the protagonist plays and sings in 40 songs which are part of the film’s soundtrack.

Also some time ago Edward Nortonwho he plays in the biopic Pete Seegermade it known that Bob Dylan himself had pressured the director to include at least one invented scene in the screenplay (Read here).
