Glenn Hughesinterviewed by Louder Sound, expressed his opinion on the great guitarists with whom he worked. To the 73 -year -old singer and bass player who played, among others, in Deep Purple And Black SabbathIn fact, he was asked to indicate the greatest guitarist with whom he collaborated. Many could therefore think that British rock has replied by making the names of Ritchie Blackmore or Tony Iommiand instead …
Here’s what Hughes said: “Oh my God, it’s really difficult. I don’t want people to get angry with me because they don’t lead Ritchie, Tommy, Mel or Pat, but I must say that it is a draw between Gary Moore and Joe Bonamassa.”
Glenn Hughes thus explained his choice. “I speak of the fever that gave me to work with them. Gary who comes to my house at three in the morning and makes me crazy, it is incredible that guitarist was. And Joe Bonamassa makes me crazy every evening. Bonamassa is the largest right now.”
Hughes worked with Gary Moore on the album of the Irish guitarist “Run for cover” of 1985, while the link with Joe Bonamassa It is more recent but also deeper, since 2009 it has been the frontman of Black Country Communiona supergroup in which Bonamassa is on guitar.
