"War Pigs" by Black Sabbath is a song against war

Black Sabbath: the first photo of the reunion tests with Bill Ward

The Black Sabbath shared an update from the tests of their imminent reunion and farewell concert for the “Back to the Beginning” event. On the social profile of the historic band, in fact, a photo with Ozzy Osbourne, the bassist Geezer Butler and, which is even more exciting, the drummer Bill Ward was published. The latter has not been playing with the Black Sabbath since 2005 and has not participated in the 2013 Reunion album, “13”, nor on the next tour.

The three legendary pioneers of Heavy Metal are smiling and seated portraits comfortably on a sofa in the photo, accompanied by a caption that reads: “The tests are underway for ‘Back to the Beginning'”. The same image was also shared by Ozzy, with a more friendly message that reads: “Hello from the tests!”. The only one absent in the shot is Tony Iommi, but given the unprofessional nature of the photo, perhaps he was behind the goal.

“Back to the Beginning” is the event to be held on 5 July at the Villa Park in Birmingham, England, Black Sabbath’s hometown. The event will represent both a reunion of the classic Black Sabbath formation, and the last Osbourne show, and will see the participation of Metallica, Slayer, Pantera, Guns N ‘Rosas, Tool, Gojira, Halestorm, Alice in Chains, Lamb of God, Anthrax, Mastodon, Rival Sons and many others.

In recent days on Ozzy’s profile, a photo has been shared that portrays him on a throne adorned with a bins’s shape, and with all the equipment for a live. From the image, it seems to match what described a few months ago by Osbourne’s guitarist, Zakk Wylde, who had anticipated how the 76 -year -old artist could face the event.
