BET Awards 2024: Here Are The Winners
THE BET Awards I am an award, organized by the network Black Entertainment Televisionwhich is awarded annually to celebrate African Americans in the fields of music, acting, and sports.
In this case too, a list of nominations is compiled from which the name of the winner is selected. The final evening, during which the prizes for some categories are awarded, takes place live to the Microsoft Theater Of Los Angeles and is broadcast by the organizing station. The evening will be hosted by the actress Taraji P. Hensonwho for the occasion also proved to be a rapper.
So how did the awards go?
Let’s start from Drake. It’s been a really tough year for him, marked by dissing with Kendrick Lamar. It looked like the BET Awards might bring him some joy, as he had seven nominations in as many categories (out of 13 dedicated to music) including that for “album of the year”, with his “For All the Dogs (Scary Hours Edition)” and “Best Male Hip Hop Artist,” but got… zero awards. The irony is that the “Best Male Hip Hop Artist” award went to none other than Kendrick Lamar
Things are no longer calm on the female side, with the queen bee Nicki Minaj who fought, winning, against rivals Cardi B And Megan Thee Stallion in the category “Best Female Hip Hop Artist”.
Usher And Tyla They collected their awards at the beginning of the evening: Usher won the award for “Best Male R&B/Pop Artist” and Tyla the one for “Best International Actor.”
