Battisti and Dalla together for the first time on record

Lucio Battisti and Lucio Dalla together on record for the first time. “L’alba di Lucio”, a limited and numbered edition 45 rpm single that unites two immortal voices of Italian music, will be available for pre-order on the Sony Music Store website for two days only, tomorrow (March 4) and the day after tomorrow (March 5). The album pays homage to Lucio Dalla and Lucio Battisti, two giants of Italian songwriting born a few hours apart – on 4 and 5 March 1943: hence the two days chosen for pre-order – and destined to change the musical panorama of our country forever.

“L’alba di Lucio” will be available only online on the Sony Music Store in unique collector’s copies. In fact, each copy will be numbered, making each vinyl an indispensable piece for collectors and lovers of the great Italian song.

The blue/lavender marble colored vinyl brings together two symbolic songs from the production of Lucio Dalla and Lucio Battisti:

Side A: 4 March 1943 – Lucio Dalla
Side B: The gardens of March – Lucio Battisti

The illustrated cover bears the signature of Matteo Berton, while the personalized internal envelopes visually tell the ideal meeting between the two Lucios, in a symbolic dialogue between songs, eras and sensibilities. To make the project even more precious, a special contribution from Vincenzo Mollica, who signs an unpublished text dedicated to “that magical night” in which two absolute geniuses of Italian music were born, within a few hours of each other.
