Claudio Baglioni – “Life is now, the dream is always”
The best -selling album ever of Italian music – 4.5 million physical copies – deserved, on the occasion of his forty years, celebrations at the height of the impact he left in the history of discography. No sooner said than done. Claudio Baglioni does not just republish the 1985 album, reprinted. The Roman singer -songwriter has engraved in recent months, in secret, a new version of the Anepì, entitled “Life is now, the dream is always”, rearranging the songs contained in it “with current sounds and styles but without betraying its original essence and the artistic sense”, to mention the Sony Music press release with which the project was announced, mastodontic. The album will be available in double vinyl in Gatefold package and 4 different formats, on CD and digital in Dolby Atmos. Each trace was resounded and sung in the studio live, with renewed arrangements and with the contemporary presence of all the musicians and singers in the room as if to create a direct narrative thread between the project then and today’s idea. The tracklist of the record project consists of the 10 tracks of the 1985 album and the song “The dream is always”, which Baglioni included in 1986 on the album live “solo”. And in addition to the record project, there is also an editorial project: a super deluxe box “life is now, the dream is always”, conceived and made by Edizioni Curci – in a limited edition of a thousand numbered copies – available starting from 11 June and pre -orders (https://www.editionerci.it/lvea) In the online stores, in bookstores and at music and record retailers. The box includes three special content, starting with the artist book by Emiliano Ponzi, one of the major Italian contemporary visual artists: a refined coffee table book, of large format (31.5×31.5 cm), in which the Ponzi tables captain, interpret and redesign the themes and intuitions of the songs of “Life is now” by transforming the lyrics of Baglioni into images.
Afterhours – “ballads for small iene 2025”
Twenty years after its first publication, “ballads for small hyenas”, one of the most iconic and representative albums of Italian music, is reprinted in a special edition, with a revisited cover and remastered audio. “Ballate for small hyenas”, eighth album of the Milanese band led by Manuel Agnelli, consists of ten tracks and contains pieces that have become the group classics as “ballad for my little hyena”, “there are many ways”, “fresh meat” and “the white widow”. Originally published in 2005, it reached second place in the Italian sales charts and brought the afterhours on tour in Europe, the United States, in Canada and China thanks to the world distribution, in its English version, of One Little Indian (British Lettetta di Björk).
Brian Eno and Beatie Wolfe – “Lateral/Luminal”
Brian Eno and the pioneering artist Beatie Wolfe have collaborate for the realization of two projects inspired by the concept of “art and feelings”: the vocal/alternative album “Luminal” and the ambient album “Lateral”, published simultaneously. Eno and Wolfe met for the first time thanks to their work in the environmental field, when they held a conference at the SXSW on the theme art and climate. The intervention was recently selected as one of the best of the last twenty -five years of the festival. The two then met again when they exhibited their visual and conceptual works of art in various London galleries. Their musical collaboration was born from these meetings. In support of the constant commitment of both artists for the environment, all physical products are made with ecological and biovinial printing materials. Recorded in Brian Eno’s studio in London and described by artists as “Amber-Slascape-Randame-Music”, “Lateral” is made up of a single continuous mix, the hypnotic but smooth “Big Empty country”. “Luminal” was instead defined as a disk of songs “Electric-Country-Randame-Music”, with the voice and the texts of Wolfe and the production of Eno. A diptych to be discovered.
Pulp – “More”
“More” is the first pulp album in twenty -three years, as many as they have gone from the exit of the previous “We Love Life”. The disc began to take shape in 2023, when the members of the British band found themselves on the stages of the concerts on the occasion of the Reunion, ten years after the 2013 break. “When we resumed the tour in 2023, we tried a new song entitled ‘Hymn of the North’ during the audio tests and in the end we played it at the end of our second evening at the Sheffield Arena. This seems to have opened the doors to the disc: we created the rest of the songs of the album in the first half of 2024. A couple are revival of ideas of the last century “, the pulp.” More “said is the first” freaks “album of 1987 engraved without the bassist Steve Mackey, who died in 2023. The album was recorded with the producer James Ford, known for his work with Arctic Monkeys, Wet Leg and others, and completed in three weeks in a Walthamstow study in the East area of London.
Marianne Faithfull – “Burning Moonlight”
It is a posthumous EP, which will include four songs. These are songs recorded by the musician, who passed away last January 30 at the age of 78, in the year prior to his death. “Burning Moonlight” had to be initially announced in February as part of the list of the Day 2025 record store, but the announcement was postponed due to the disappearance of Faithfull. Now, with the blessing of the singer’s family, Decca Records has shared the news by defining the publication “a celebration of Marianne Faithfull’s life and music”.
Bresh – “Mediterranean”
Three years after “Blue Gold” (double platinum), on June 6 the new album by Bresh, “Mediterranean”, comes out. The announcement of the disc is accompanied by a trailer shot in Tenerife, which captures the essence of the concept behind the project in images. “Mediterranean” draws from that imagination linked to travel, the sea and Liguria that often returns to the writing and poetics of the singer -songwriter. A profound and lasting link already present in the songs contained on the “Marea Mare” and “La Tana del Crab” album, the latter presented on the stage of the Sanremo Festival.
Caliber 35 – “Exploration”
The taste for exploration, the pleasure of playing and playing together, in continuous interaction. The spirit of jazz, in essence. Everything present in this new adventure of the most Cinéphile super band of the music scene. “Exploration”, the new album of the Caliber 35, the band made up of Tommaso Colliva, Enrico Gabrielli, Massimo Martelotta and Fabio Rondanini, who in 18 years of career has imposed himself for technical skill and a immoderate mastery for the groove, canceling every possible contradiction between coherence and eclecticism, between executive rigor and creative freedom, is released. Articulated in eleven tracks, including three original compositions, “Exploration” comes two years after the latest album “Nouvelles Aventures”, and represents an ideal development of the previous EP “JazzPloitation”.
Lazza – “Locura Jam + Opera”
The Milanese rapper announced the release of “Locura Jam + Opera”, a new double version of the album released last September and already triple platinum. In the project, out on June 6, the traces of “Locura” were again recorded in the “Jam” version, with the Band, and in the “Opera” version, with the Symphony Orchestra of Milan, arranged and directed by Maestro Enzo Campagnoli. “More than a year of work, more than 40 musicians. We have rewritten” Locura “twice. Once in jam, playing everything from the end. Once with the orchestra, pushing us even further. Each note is born from real hands. Winds, arches, cords, ropes. Two different worlds, same fire,” he wrote on social networks.
